If you are a gear head then this concept should be familiar to you. If not I will explain, www.speedtv.com/programs/pass-time/episodes/ Copy and paste the above link for a full explanation. This is a show where contestants guess the amount of time it will take a race car to run the ¼ mile. Random drivers are chosen and the 3 contestants are allowed one question. There are 3 rounds and at the end the person with the closest tie is the winner and the other two have to hand over the cash, which totals 2000.
Now let’s apply this to the sport of BMX. Instead of high powered race cars, we use the BMX race bike. 3 people are chosen and we ask some racers to participate. We choose racers at various skill levels, allow the contestants to ask 1 question, and then they guess how fast the racer will do his or her lap. At the end of the contest the person with the most points wins the prizes (not money) I propose this as a way to keep the crowd interested during down time or it can be an added feature. I have full faith that this idea would be a success. I say lets give it a chance.
