I started the King Of Old School Series almost 8 years ago. And now it is going to make a comeback in 2015. For the time being, we will be doing a race at CJBMX on April 19th on opening day at the track. I am proud to announce that SC Action Sports, one of our good supporters has agreed to sponsor the event and this is the first of what I hope to be many sponsors. But this time there is one change, all of the proceeds will go towards cancer research. As you know, we lost one of our great BMX Brothers Jason “Pinky” Davis last season. If you knew him he was full of life, I feel this is a way to honor the legacy of fun and humor he left behind.
The emphasis will be having fun and keeping this drama free. I am going to start putting the fun back in BMX and this is how I want to start. The rules are being finalized and will be posted by tomorrow. They will remain almost the same, but with some slight modifications. I ask that if you have knowledge of any one that would want to get involved, please email me at abrown1221@gmail.com.
I am keeping this brief. I want to thank every person who never stopped believing in me, and I promise that this is going to be fun for all ages. I also want something to be very clear, I do not do this for notoriety, and I do not do this to make myself “look good”. I do this for the love of BMX and the joy of being able to help others.
