April 19th the opening day at CJBMX, also the beginning of something I hope continues for a very long time, the first annual Pinky Classic, in honor of Jason Pinky Davis. Now it went from 74 and sunny to 59 and brisk overnight, but we still had an awesome day!!!!!!!!!!! But before I go any further I want to thank

Gatenine Design Plates
SC Action Sports
Chip N Dale BMX
Danny Smith (Double-cross Bikes)
The Hersey Family
These people made this event special with the prizes that were donated. We had a total of 6 racers Scott Doland, Danny May, Dave “BMX LEGEND” Pawson, Jason Pilato Jorge Suarez, and Nick Davis aka Pinky JR. This was a relaxed day of racing no drama no stress, well except for that one time. It seems the spirit of his dad Pinky was flowing through Nick as he threw an elbow in the 2nd turn on Jorge!!!!!!!! The real action was the main, as Scott Doland took the win on the oldest bike there, his father’s 1981 Mongoose!!!!!!!!!! Jason Pilato took the second. But I will be honest there was some confusion as May and Pawson crossed the finish line. But rather than an argument, it was settled and both parties were gentlemen; Jorge Suarez 5th place and Pinky JR. 6th was the end of the race day.
But this was not about prizes or pride, this race was for a good cause and in memory og a good person. I am pretty sure though that Pinky was looking at us making joke, because if you knew him then you know that is the person he was. Now the raffle was interesting, Amanda Fink, from New York won the Calendar; Dustin AKA Scrapper (Team Kaos) won the BMXMUSUEM Jersey, Profile Spline Drive Gear and a Calendar. It came time to draw the MCS Frame (which former MCS factory rider Phil Delizia autographed) Bulldog bars, Calendar and a 25 dollar gift certificate from Chip n Dale BMX. The first ticket no one claimed, the second ticket, no one claimed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When the third ticket was drawn, Scrapper won. This dude cleaned house and went home very happy. We also had a hole shot award with Nick Laviola winning a BMXMUSUEM calendar.
All in all this was a good day-good racing, good prizes and smiling faces. Once again thanks to all our sponsors, shout out to Danny Smith and Phil Delizia for stepping. Lorraine Brown (Mrs.AntDog), Greg Provost and the entire staff of CJBMX. Thank you to all that purchased raffle tickets as well.
